My 2yr old daughter has been really poorly and has been sick on our carpet. It was milk (cow's) and nothing much else. I cleaned it straight away with carpet cleaner then have tried Vanish and the wet vax with shampoo but nothing has worked
so I thought I would ask here instead as there must be something that works?
I was thinking maybe vinegar & water but not sure if that will then mean that the house will smell of vinegar instead? Then I thought stardrops but wouldnt have a clue where to begin (put it on straight, mix with water etc).
Any tried and tested ideas? The smell really is vile.
Thank you.

When I had a cat that was sick on the carpet, I sprinkled Bicarb of Soda over it, left it overnight (or for a good few hours) and cleaned it up, it got rid of both the stain and the smell. Hope this helps and that your daughter feels well again soon.0

Hi there! When my DD was sick all over MY bedroom carpet lol!! I dissolved some biological washing powder in hand hot water and scrubbed at the carpet using that. When DH and I went to bed later that night we were fully expecting the bedroom to stink, and guess what? It didn't! It's something to do with the enzymes breaking down the proteins, but it really works.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0
