Recommendations Needed - Band For Wedding Reception

They are called BOOMIN(not moomin!). They were nowhere near the price you quoted according to my friend who hired them,and they did 2 sets.

Worth a look,better than some on the X factor was the comment of lots of people at the party(aside from the oldies!!)

Hi sory just seen this post for boominband...DO NOT BOOK THEM i had a terrible experience i booked them for my wifes 30th and they didnt bother turning up...NOT THAT GOOD AND VERY UNRELIABLE!!!!!

We must agree to differ on whether they were good or not,we all thought they were excellent.

Sorry to hear they didnt turn up though,I always contact anyone I have booked in advance a week before the event,and then again the day before just to be on the safe side. Dont really understand why you would book them though if you thought they werent really that good.?or is that disappointment speaking?

My friend married last year and had a band called 'Get Funked' - they were absolutely amazing!

Everyone loved them and people were up dancing straight away. It is by far the best wedding entertainment I have ever experienced.

Unfortunately though we cannot have them as our dancefloor area is not big enough to accommodate both the band and people dancing (and they are a bit over our budget)

I just wanted to let you know that they were absoltely fab in my (and many others) opinion!

There is another band that I can think of but they charge from £1950 for 5 hours of music inc DJ and pre-wedding meeting, and early set up on the day.
