Oakwood Home Loans!!!!!!!!!

Oakwood Home Loans have been offering people 15% plus waiving all redemption charges and fees.
However today I got a letter offering only 6%.
I would be interested from hearing from people who have been made an offer and exactly what has been offered.
As you can imagine I would also like to be offered 15% and I am sure others may be in the same position as myself.
Also the time scale offered is until end of December.
So have you been made an offer?

I have placed 3 cases in the last 3 weeks and all of them have varied. One had 8%, another 12%.
youo have been offered 6%. Take it for god sake!!!! that is £x paid off your mortgage without you paying any additional.
Your time is running out to meet their deadline. They will not extend the December deadline date for you either.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Thanks for the reply.....
At present, (due to a windfall) I am very lucky to have the means to pay off the mortgage.
I am thinking I should ask for a bigger discount (yes i'm a chancer) as there seems to be so many varying offers and after speaking to an FA yesterday he agrees.0 -
Hi V8A
I'm a mortgage broker and have dealt with several such cases recently. I have managed to negotiate further discounts forn them.
Please feel free to ask me any further questions!0 -
I suspect the trick is to tell them that you can only raise XX and ask if they would accept. If you tell them you have the cash, they will think that you could easily borrow the remainder.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. My wife is an Oakwood Homeloans customer from before we got together and we're desperate to get out of this mortgage without paying the huge redemption penalty and fee. My wife had adverse credit history but my credit history is very good so we could get another mortgage easily. Unfortunately this Oakwood Homeloans offer hasn't been extended to us. Does anyone have any advice about how we can persuade Oakwood to allow us to take advantage?0 -
I wish i had oakwood home loans willing to knock money off my mortgage0

LondonBroker,
They have offered me 8%. Can you offer advice to negotiate more out of them?
Cheers
Many thanks.0
