All Games Consoles 10% off at WHSmith eg wii @ £162 then quidco

I tried buying the wii console with sports pack (£179.99) on saturday online (via topcashback) and used the code that should give the discount off of consoles. This went through fine and came to about £161 ish and I even got an order number but this morning I have had an email from WH SMith saying that they've cancelled the order

Unfortunately we have had to cancel your order for this console as this is not included in the discount voucher offer that you used. I can confirm that your card has not been charged and that any other items on your order will be processed. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.

II'm so disappointed, it was going to be a joint xmas present for my mum and stepdad from me and my three sisters, we can only afford to spend about £160-£170 so was so pleased when I heard about this (potential) offer.

Did anyone else try to get this discount off of the wii console?

I do commiserate with you. It's very unfortunate to have happened to you, and may well yet actually include all others too.
On the plus side ... yes, this was a good deal for a basic console, but there are absolutely bound to be yet more good wii deals during the month of November and some may well turn out to be even better priced! So, chin up and just keep scanning this forum ...

Hi Rik,

If you haven't found a better deal on the basic console yet, Shopto does the Wii for £169.99 as standard. With only a tenner off it's not as good as the WHSmith deal would've been, but it's the best non-bundle deal I've seen.

The flyer that the discount card pops out from lists loads of exclusions on the bottom at the back and "gaming consoles" is the first on the list.

Could somebody please tell me whether or not WH Smith sell X Box 360 consoles???? I can see lots of games but not the actual games console.
