Ooohh, good luck addictedtolush!!!!! Let us know what happens.

I was looking forward to watching the repeats tonight, but they didn't show it :(

This is my second favourite wedding programme. My absolute fave is Bridezillas on Wedding TV. Love it!!!!!!!!
  • I love this programme, but my OH wont let a tv camera near our wedding.

What amazes me though is how little the people on it seem to have discussed their wedding dreams. Even though the contestants have to sign a legal agreement not to speak about it during the 3 weeks whilst arranging what stops them discussing it when they are applying for the show?
We've talked about ours so much that I have no doubt he would do all the right things

    I love that progarmme!

It is definitely the case that the most entertaining episodes are the ones where the bride has very definite ideas and the groom hasn't a clue! I don't really like it when the bride is in tears constantly but it's nice to have abit of suspense to see how she reacts on the day!

That said, whilst I think £12k for free is fantastic, I think those applying may need to bear in mind that obviously they film more than they show and the bits they show will be the entertaining bits. I wouldn't want anyone's day to be spoilt by the show screening them on the one occasion they screamed and cried when they had been a picture of calm otherwise throughout...

Also the commentary isn't always complementary to the couple or their family and friends!

My mum's work was featured on the programme and they came back a few times to film but only a tiny snippet was shown on TV! Luckily it showed them in a good light but it wasn't necessarily representative of what actually went on!

Good luck to those applying! I know I couldn't cope with not being in charge! Sadly I'm looking forward to doing all the planning (hence why I'm on this forum and my OH hasn't proposed yet! Hey I can dream!)
  • If you're thinking of applying, read the following first:

Apparently, the production team 'deliberately cause problems if things seem to be going too smoothly'

You have to take this programme with a very large pinch of salt. What they didnt show on last nights episode was that the production team messed with everyone involved giving them misinformation all the way. For example the production team sent away the wedding cars and told them to come back later partially explaining why the bride was so late. Also the bridesmaids dress debacle came about because the groom had asked the production team 3 days before the wedding to take the dresses round to the brides parents. The production team agreed to do this but repeatedly and conveniently ‘forgot’ on numerous occasions. Also in no circumstances could any communication take place between groom and brides family/friends unless a TV camera was present
  • it all makes for good watching though lol

One of my friends knows a bridal shop owner who was on this programme. The producers made it out to look like the shop owner was at fault when a bridesmaid's dress was way too small for her and the florist had to tie the back of the dress up with wire and feather boas!!!!

Apparently, the shop owner produced the dress in the correct size requested, but the bridesmaid had not gone in for a fitting so they were both 'stitched up' as it were.....(sorry!)

Good telly means someone has to get stressed or slated, I suppose but I think that this was quite damaging to her business.

Oooh, I remember that episode. Yep it definitely gave off the impression that the bridal shop had screwed up with the dress. Blimey, she did look a state with the feathers lol
