They have lived tog in a very nice house for about 3 years so most things they want they will already have (also have more £ than me so probably better quality than I could afford)0 -

Sorry but I think naming a star in this financial climate would be the worst possible pressie. I wouldnt want anyone wasting their money and would be a wee bit annoyed that someone had wasted money for thatcheerio hen0 -
Gifts for everyone
The Natural History Museum does some quirky gifts including raindeer poo in a box (odourless!) with seed to grow your own xmas tree, for £5. They also do rhino poo in a box (banana plant) and elephant poo in a box (rose).
http://www.nhmshop.co.uk/gifts-for-him/reindeer-poo-in-a-box/product.html
TKMaxx do a good range of discounted toys, clothes, bags, books, gifts and kitchenware (eg cocktail shakers, chopping boards). Just bought an ‘antquarium’ - an aquarium filled with gel - for my parents who are keen gardeners and love David Attenborough! You put ants in for a week or so (the gel's their home and food) and watch them create a network of tunnels.

Gifts for babies
Baby play book - Friends are going to be first-time parents just before xmas and will be inundated with presents, so I wanted to get something to help them engage/bond with the baby. It explains what skills babies have as they develop and gives play ideas (mostly going back to basics using household objects, coloured scarves, bubbles). I've also referred to it to buy items that they can use for the activities (eg mirror, puppets)

Finger puppets - such as a nursery rhyme set (for 3yrs+ but parents can use them beforehand )
