Will my early repayment charge be waived?

Options
Can anyone help me I have just remortgaged my home after coming to the end of a 2 year deal and have enterred into new 5 year deal.

My problem is that I've been in this deal for just over a month and the wife is planning a to do some home improvements (why she didn't think of this a couple of months ago I don't know) the question is would my new mortgage company waive the early repayment charge if I was to ask them to remortgage and increase the value borrowed if I stayed with them?

you will have to apply for a further advance, this will not be added unto your existing fixed deal but you will not have to pay the erc.

Yep, grogdog has it right. You need to ask for a further advance and pick the rate which fits as closely as possible to the end date of you existing mortgage product.
