Well I am back from my Mini cruise:D

and apart from spending yesterday evening throwing up for 4 hours solid until I fell asleep at about 9pm I really enjoyed myself. I thought sea sickness tablets were supposed to Stop you being sick:confused:

No. They're to give you something to bring up. Apart from vital bits of your gastric system.

    Bunny it was really good.

Friday - got on Ferry had a meal in the buffet restaurant and then some drinks including cocktails while we watched the entertainment which was quite good.

Saturday - Breakfast on the ferry then onto a coach into Amsterdam at 10am.

Visited the shops and sights of Amsterdam including the Red Light district and the Sex museum:D had a McDonalds burger and chips for lunch.

Back on the ferry at 4pm set sail for England at 5pm..............Louise says hello again to McDonalds at 6pm as the sea is really rough. Cancelled our restaurant reservation (luckily not paid for in advance as we werent sure what we would have to eat in Amsterdam) OH had burger and chips on his own and a pint before returning to the cabin and falling asleep at about 9pm.

Woke up feeling OK and then had breakfast before getting off the ferry at North Shields 9am and driving home.

Price was £184 for cabin with sea view, 2 breakfasts and 1 evening meal included and transport. Bargain!

Drinks on the ship were very expensive and with the crappy exchance rate at the moment we were paying £5 for a glass of wine and £4 a pint of lager. If we were smarter we would have just took some in the cabin:rolleyes:

  • Sounds good hun!
WHEN I get the job next week (note positive thinking) I will book it I think...

Been cooking up a storm-made pumpkin pies so far, and HM applesauce, got the veg ready for tea (roast pots and mashed pots, sweetcorn and peas, carrots, broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower/cheese, and parsnips) and have another batch of pies ready to go in oven, also cooking the pumpkin seeds-my kids LOOOOOVE them!

still have to do the stuffing, yorkshires and actually put the roast in! LOL!
