still time to order a charity gift - get nanny a goat!

if you're stuck for ideas on what to buy this christmas there's still time to order a charity gift from world vision - i just called and was told that you can order up to friday and get the gift card before christmas - i'm buying school library books instead of getting a gift for my son's teachers this year. you can give blankets, goats, trees etc. to families who really need them and you get a gift card telling the recipient that you've bought on their behalf.

My Mother-In-Law wanted this for Christmas, just bought her a goat and mosquito net. Thanks for reminding me.

Absolutely gutted about Paul Walker - RIP xx

  • What a fantastic idea. Have just been on line and ordered the library books for school kids in Ethiopia, as a Christmas gift to my childrens teachers. So much more thoughtful than chocs or smellies. :xmassign:

Lovely idea...I have just bought 200 school dinners for children in West Africa instead of sending Christmas cards.

i didn't put the link up, what a muppet lol!

i was very impressed with the personalisation on the card from world vision, i haven't ordered from the others, but the world vision one was great - choice of lots of cards, personalised message on the front and 3 boxes on the inside, and a little picture of a snowman :-)

  • From 'Oxfam Unwrapped' I bought mosquito nets & school dinners, very easy to do. I've also renewed adoption of a pony & camel at an animal sanctuary, (Hillside), for friend's 2 children.
