I really need to earn some more money but as I work as a chef in a fairly busy restaurant, My shifts vary each week so my days off always change and I work awkward hours anyway, A Usual day for me is 9am - 3pm then 5pm - finish (roughly 10.30pm) Also I work weekends. Usually work 40-50 p/w, which make having a second job even tougher.
So really dont know how I can start to earn any more money than I already do with such awkward working times and days. If anyone has any tips or help, I would be grateful.
Did really want to buy & sell in my spare time on ebay and such and have done in the past but really need some decent suppliers of items which sell on ebay quite well. Not to worried about how much profit I make just as long as its a bit of extra cash in my pocket. Not worried about time and effort going into this either as Im usually on the internet in my spare time anyway. Once again any help is very appreciated.
Thanks in advance !!
Carl

You could become a courier for catalogue companies like Empire for Freemans - you deliver and collect parcels. You need somewhere to store them though, and there is some paperwork, but you choose your hours which could suit you.
Could you use your cooking skills to make extra money, maybe by making cakes for people? You could advertise in your local paper.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Do you have the website or phone number for this courier job please, sounds great. Well I get paid hourly and they dont usually like you getting into overtime so they give the extra hours to people who are not doing as many hours as I am.. Already tried that, Managars a bit of a !!!!!! too tbh .. Lol
As for the cakes well, Im not that good yet as im only 19 and my nan used to be a professional cake maker and it was very time consuming for the amount of hard work and hours you had to put into it.0 -

Most people who do courier jobs tend to have an estate car or a van and you are paid from £0.60p-£1 for each parcel.
Also to be covered for insurance for your car you will need business insurance. Which will cost.

Not necessarily. My last policy included business use at no additional charge (although I did not need it) and many insurers will add this for no extra cost.
A very valid point though.0 -

I assume the no cost would be because it will only be short period of time say a few months. Because if you using your car for business then you are travelling more miles so more chance of an accident.
That is why it costs more. Also more chance of being broken in to because of the parcels on the back seat.
And the OP is only 19 so I would say they are going to bump it up due to age more than anything else. Knowing what insurers are like.

It's not like you're giving anyone a lift.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
