was the assessment you had put in place an IMA/A (interim maintanence assessment), this would hve been put in place if you were none compliant and wouldnt provide the information required to calculate a proper assement, (which perhaps is the case given the way have described the case) if so, then they can convert this assesment back to the start of the case with today as the calculation date and then it would be liable for enforcement action.

I don't have a bank account either, haven't had since the day my ex left, I run every thing through someone elses. Just to clear things up she had an affar I found out and forgave her she then ran up over £5000 of debt and then did a runner, that is why I dont use a bank of my own. The csa in my opinion need to have a serious look at how they deal with people as I'm sure there are many other people out there getting hammered by them just because there selfish selfcentered b***h of a wife ran out on them for no good resone then expects the ex to pay for them.

Nope I was compliant with them from the begining, I did how ever say the amount they wanted was way to much, it was supposed to be looked into then I was told I was assesed at £0 and that was the last I heard.

in that case if like you say the debt DEFINATLY accrued when you say it did and you are s/e and dont have a bank account then there isnt much they will be able to do to be honest, in all likleyhood they will probably suspend the arrears and review it at a later date to check if your emp status has changed, but the debt will still remain and theres nothing to say the CSA's powers in the future wont change and allow them to find a way to get at the s/e.
