I would like to go BR in December and have now cancelled all my DD's to creditors so November will be the first month of non payment. I have completed the online paperwork and had the CAB check it, I'm all ready to go but does anyone know if you just ring the court and make an appointment for say December, or do they give you a specified date and time?
I dont want to go BR until December as I've just moved back in my flat (literally) and as i've put bills, etc, on my SOA I am guessing I may need to show proof of these and I wont have proof until I've lived there for a month. Does anyone know what proof I will need to show as I've arranged to pay everything by payment cards?
When I go to the court do I also need to take my debt paperwork with me e.g. credit card bills, etc, or do I just take the papers signed?
I am planning on opening a co-op cash minder account sometime in November so fingers crossed they will let me keep it after the BR.
I feel so much happier now I have made a decision and know I am doing something about all of the debt and also that the house I have with my ex will no longer be my responsibility and therefore I wont ever have to have contact with him again. I really hope everything goes as planned tho...as Murphy's law normally applies to me!!!

You need to give the court a call as some do require you to get an appointment and as you can imagine they are really busy just at the moment.
I was lucky as my local court offered a drop in service but even if they do my advice would be to get there early.
Just take the signed papers along to court no need to take your bills as the OR will get these from you later.
My advice with the Co-op cashminder account is to wait until you have been to court and apply for it when you get home that way it wont get caught up in your BR like it has for some.
