Hi Guys,
We are going to rent somwhere before going to court and get all set up, should we advise the letting agent about our impending situation and also if we do not say anything can they find out after the deed is done.
Quick update - i am starting to accept the situation but gorgeous wife is still scared.............
Any help, thanks.....

well, either ask them outright, or look for homes and flats with "no restrictions" on rightmove.0

Hi,
Just thought I would add that we phoned round and asked the ones outright that we had seen with properties that we liked, one was a bit funny about it but others were fine if we had a guarantor. In the end the one we chose we did tell up front and it was great as they let us check through their tenancy agreements to make sure there wasn't clauses for bankrupts before parting with any cash and we passed the credit check without needing a guarantor as we didn't have any ccj's etc but did have a couple of missed mortgage payments.
I think the OR does let them know though, you have to put their details on the form.
Good luck0 -
Thanks guys, any other suggestions would be great.....;)0

Hi
i have a clause in my tenancy agreement regarding iva/br. I spoke to letting agents about what is the situation in the case of iva/br and they said that they would have to contact the owner of the property and it would be upto them to either terminate tenancy or allow me to stay in the property. I also asked about claiming any benefits to cover rent in the event of becoming unemployed and it was the same answer.
I believe the O/R will notify LL's of br
I don't know if thats helped at all but it may be the case that if you move to a property that would allow benefits to cover rent it may be ok for br.0
