......... I was talking to a guy from currys today and the reason why the Xmas codes stopped is because the hosting servers were affected by the fire in Herts. Apparently they are based next door to the fuel depot.

    Cool excuse I think! :snow_laug

    DOWN RIGHT LIE !!!!

The XMAS codes had been pulled well over 48 hours before the first explosion at 6am on Sunday morning.

I tried using the Xmas codes on Friday and they had "expired".

I spoke to someone at Currys websales department on Saturday morning asking "Why ?" since the posted expiry date was 20th Dec.
He didn't know "why" but confirmed the last day they were active was Thursday 8th !

I told him to pass on a few choice words to his superiors and that I'd be spending my £600+ elsewhere

    Currys

    Code:
    1. XMAS20
    2. XMAS40
    3. XMAS75
    Effect:
    1. £20 Discount - when you spend over £250
    2. £40 Discount - when you spend over £500
    3. £75 Discount - when you spend over £1000

    1. & 2. gives you 8% at best if you spend exactly £250 or £500
    3. gives you 7.5% at best if you spend exactly £1000.

The PREVIOUS XMAS codes were all "TEN PERCENTERS" on a "perfect" spend:

    £20 off orders over £200- use code'XMAS20'
    £40 off orders over£400- use code 'XMAS40'
£60 off orders over £600- use code 'XMAS60'
£80 off orders over £800- use code 'XMAS80'
£100 off orders over £1000- use code 'XMAS100'
