Import Madness Ipod Nano 4GB £149.99 - Reliable Website

Hey,

After looking at pricerunner the cheapest price for an Ipod Nano 4GB, Import Madness came up for £149.99 delivered. Has anyone dealt with this company? Does it seem 100% reliable? Has anyone heard of the company?

Thanks
Jonathan

For a tenner more if you have an egg card just order direct from Apple - you get the ipod Nano for £179 with 10% back from Egg and you get it engraved... Seemed like a better deal to me...
  • Thanks a lot

If youre flying from Heathrow, even to Europe, get the Nano at Dixons Tax Free at VAT-free prices. 17.5% discount.....bargain.

How does that work then , I thought you had to leave the EU to get tax free?

You know what......its not just Dixons that have a markup on the high street. Most retailers will have selling prices roughly double what they paid for the goods....whether M&S, Primark, Comet, Dixons, whoever.

Non-EU customers arent being ripped off....theyre getting Dixons high street price minus VAT 17.5%.

EU customers also arent being ripped off....theyre getting Dixons high street price minus 17.5%.

You seriously think that a retailer charging one customer 17.5% more than another, just because of where the customer is travelling to, is not ripping them off? Get real...........£127.65
Theyre not - theyre both being charged the same amount, one getting a discount courtesy of the UK Government, and the other getting a discount courtesy of Dixons.

Its Government/EU VAT rules that is driving this daft situation.

If you dont want the discount, dont buy it.....youll find that depending on where you are travelling to, some retailers at Heathrow wont even sell you their goods.

Dixons should be applauded for giving up their margin at the airport to give the same discounted deal to all customers.

Whatever..........go and spend the extra £30 in a Dixons High Street store (or Argos, or HMV or wherever) for your Nano, as there seems to be a price fixing deal at £139/£179 for the Nano everywhere.
