Popped into our local Wine Rack, which is part of the Thresher Group.
Each shop is doing a 'Family & Friends of Wine Rack Employees' Offer.
The offer is off all products and promotions (excluding BOGOF deals).
There's £5 off all Malt Whisky
30% off wine, champagne and beer
10% off spirits and liquors.
Discounts apply between 5-11th December.
Pre ordering is advisable
Free delivery over £100.
The offer is not available on line and you will need to go into the shop directly and ask about it.
Example prices:
Carling/Fosters Lager 24x440ml case. Normally £14.99 Offer £10.49
Grolsch 24x300ml case. Normally £13.99. Offer 2 cases for £14
Baileys Irish Cream Litre. Normally £17.49. Offer £10.79
I've got my eye on a large quantity of Hardy's Voyage which came into the shop yesterday at £4.49 a bottle, but is due to go on a 3 for £10 offer next week.
Under the 'F&F offer' this will become 3 for £7
This link will let you check if there is a local off licence near to you.

No, I am just a regular customer who goes in every once-in-a-while. It was one of the staff that gave me the information.

This offer is 3 for £7 or £2.33 a bottle and you don't need to make friends with anyone!

I'm sure that there are other 'one off' deals that are cheaper, however my point is that this is 30% off everything. Not just headline discounted one offs!

Ditto. I would rather buy my Christmas alcohol from one place in one shop in one go rather than search around for the best deal on each item and visit half a dozen different shops to buy them

If you put it in the fridge and let it cool to 5C, it should taste better.....apparently :-D

Who mentioned Carling?0 -
Is this only available in a "wine rack" store or can you go into any store in the Thresher group?0

I live half a mile from an independant wine & beer shop and they currently have several different wines on offer - 6 bottles for £10.
Only found 1 sort that I'm not too keen on, the others are brilliant.
Normally retail for £4 to £6 each.
Also have a vast range of beers and lagers from which I make a selection that never exceeds 75p per litre. There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93
