Venue for a 30th birthday party...Suggestions?

Hi folks,
i'm trying to arrange a surprise 30th party
Anywhere in central belfast..
Can anyone recommend a decent restaurant/bar?
A private room would be ideal..

Hi Tony - upstairs at Morrisons on Bedford Street is nice. Might be worth a visit?

Pizza express do a private room upstairs if you like pizza.

the Northern Whig on bridge street does private functions up stairs - its like a balcony and private bar but ur not toally isolated from the rest of the bar. Good finger/tapas food too!

What about the Alexander Bar on York Street? That would be some surprise. :rotfl:

A bit further out ( Dundonald) but the David lloyd sports centre have great private rooms, so do La Mon.

What about La Boca?
I've been there for a fortieth birthday recently and a post wedding wedding party if you know what I mean (the couple got married abroad).

You get the whole place to yourself if you can guarantee numbers

I forgot to say, my OH organised a surprise 40th for me at Macau on the Ormeau Road. I think he had to organise it well in advance to get it booked but we had half of the restaurant, which has a wall dividing it in two.

They served their banquet which had loads of variety to suit everyone's taste. The food was excellent and the service really friendly and efficient.
