Energy Saving Lightbulbs - £1 each or 5 for 40p!

Went to Tesco this evening and they had Energy Saving Lightbulbs which were £1 or 5 for 40p! :j

There is a limit of 6 of each type.

I got these yesterday too. Mostly only screw ins in my tesco but had a rummage and managed to find 5 bayonet types. Good bargain.

Watch out for the labelling. At the Osterley branch they have only put baynot sticks in the 5 for 40p bin and the other ones on the shelf say £1 BOGOF. However, when they go through the till they still go through at 5 for 40p.

Thanks to OP for this. Went to my local store today & they had absolutely loads..bayonet & screw, 40 60 & 100w, different shapes. I bought 15 assorted to share out amongst family. People were stopping me & asking what the 'crack' was with all the bulbs...needless to say, couldn't see them for dust once i'd told them:rotfl:

Saved £19.56 in total (the smaller ones suitable to use in lamps were normally £2.92 each!).

Ever the sceptic, I thought these bulbs would give a really dull light. But they are actually quite good. I Would be quick though, don't know how long Tescos stocks will last, the were going fast when I was in.
