What else do I need to buy for my Wii?

I have a Wii console
I have a Wii Fit
I have the remote and nunchuck that comes with the console and I purchased an extra remote and nunchuck separately
I have a couple of games that came with the console (M&S at the Olympic Games and Beach Party)
What other accessories do you think I need?
What are the re-charging stations like (for the remotes)?
Do I need a charger for the Wii Fit?
Thanks for your help. x

I would hold off the recharging stations. I think it's an unnecessary spend. I play my wii a lot and I don't think I've replaced the batteries (normal AAs) often. If you already have a charger, just use the batteries for that.
Wii fit - I don't know.
I think you're missing Guitar Hero - it's my favourite game and I'm a little obsessed with it. You can get GH3 quite cheap at the moment because Guitar Hero World Tour is out soon.0 -
Thanks. I was thinking of GH for my son (he's 9). He says he gonna put "electric guitar" on his xmas list! I just mention the re-chargers because I have 3 children and my friend was telling me with her 2 chidren the batteries get worn out a lot. Thanks for your help.0

We bought a charging station as we were going through batteries like there was no tomorrow. Got one for a tenner but can't remember where from, it holds the console as well but you can get them as a stand alone charger.
Best gmaes we've found are Resident Evil 4 and Zelda Twilight Princess"a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0 -
if you do get a recharger, do your research and read the reviews. I remember I was looking into them and the reviews were quite poor...that was a year ago, so hopefully the best ones are shining through now.0

I have thought about getting a recharging station, but it seems the batteries last ages and we play on the wii alot. I would definately get a steering wheel and mariokart, it is so the best game out there and the online play is fantastic fun. You can play 2 player online aswell which makes it more fun, but then you would need an extra steering wheel bit. Hope you have lots of fun on it.Ipoints- Cashed in for prezzybox and amazon items - 1,983 now. £50 Amazon voucher

I have Madcatz battery packs for both my controller and the wii fit. they were about £10 in gamestation, which is barely more than rechargeable batteries, but they can be plugged into the USB slots on the back of the wii which is far more convenient than taking the back oof, removing batteries, etc. And it's much cheaper than alkalines if you're planning on keeping the wii for a year or more, and why shouldn't you!?
As for games, I would strongly advise getting Mario Kart and Mario Galaxy- both fantastic games, and you don't need an extra wheel to play MK 2player- you can just use the remote by itself, or remote+nunchuck, or even the classic controller or gamecube controllers, so there's lots of options.
Other good buys I would recommend include Zelda:Twilight Princess, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Zack &Wiki, and maybe Lego Batman/Star Wars for kids.0 -
Hiya, sorry for hijacking thread, but can I just confirm that Guitar Hero III includes the actual "guitar"?
thanksThanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

My ex bought my son GH for his birthday and he's hardly played it as he gets frustrated far too easily and ends up getting the hump, but my ex whenever he comes he plays it and it's really funny.
I absolutely love my wii fit - I would recommend getting a cover for it though as I hated it when I saw a mark on it - sad I know lol
I purchased charger stations but to be honest big waste of money, if anything I use my normal battery charger and use those batteries now.
Was looking at the maraca's game Samba De Amigo recently which looks good fun.
My youngest son loves all the lego games i.e starwars, batman, Indiana Jones.
Together they play Mario Karts a lot and they both have a steering wheel
My eldest likes most games - with his wii sports he uses the bat attachment.
To be honest you don't need to buy all the accessories, just I have an ex who gets it for the boys. (can be infuriating at times)0 -

We have Samba De Amigo and it's not as good as the advert makes out - I was really quite disapointed.
I love paper mario, mario cart, Guitar hero.
Also worth mentioning are Wii Play (cheaper way of getting a remote - something like £30 for a remote and a game rather than £25 to get just a remote), Carnival, Wii Sports etc - all those that get you up and about.0
