BOGOFs and 3 for 2's

;D Just to share my recent experience of shopping at Waitrose. I was using the store hand scanner (saving on unloading and loading up again at the cash desk) and decided to purchase some Greek Yoghurt with Figs (OK I know YEUGH!!). They had a reduced sticker to 15p from 55p (short dated). On scanning the item, the scanner beeped a warning of a 3 for 2 offer. Hmmm, there was only anoth 2 left on the shelf so I scanned them. Interesting result! 3 x 15p (reduced price) = 45p, 3 for 2 offer deduct 55p. So Waitrose had paid me 10p to remove them from the shelves!! Result.

Has anyone else experienced "Great Refunds" when taking back items purchased during a stores "One Day Spectacular"? 20% discount on the day, 100% refund when returning the item later. Only noticed on leaving the store. This has since happened 2 further times. Stores:- M&S, Laura Ashley, Boots..
