disguise a dartboard!!

Any ideas anyone, just had my garage converted into an office/playroom, and it has turned out really well and now its decorated looks amazing. Husband wants to put up his dartboard, but its going to stand out like a sore thumb. Want to disguise it somehow, its in a cabinet. Looked on the internet to see if they did cabinets with pictures on them (they do but only of beer signs or naked women!!) wanted a flower or some modern art. Any ideas!!!

  • Do you now anybody who is arty maybe they could paint a design of your choice on it for you. Years ago they used to sticky flowers etc but don't know if they are still around. They were made of a plasticy thing similar to Fablon that you can cover tables etc with, try craft shops or somewhere like Hobbycraft.

Get a wooden cabinet made so when you close the doors its hidden away.

You could decorate the outside with something suitable, like those peanut dispensers that reveal a glamorous model when the packets are all gone.

Or put a mirror and light bulbs around it like a make up room.

Surely if its a 'playroom' it doesnt really need disguised ...... I have got used to DH's which stares at me everytime I walk into my utility room.

Would he use it enough to warrant a cupboard, why not just have it so when its not being used it can easily be removed and put away or just leave it as it is hung up on the wall

Our dartboard is up in the kitchen (don't ask) in one of those wooden cabinets - we just painted it in the same paint as the walls and to be honest you don't really notice it's there!
