    Making you own lunch is a good option. I save about £25 a week by doing this now. Which equates to roughly £1200 a year on just lunch!
    Saving for a deposit: £20,551 / £25,000 - 82% of the way there...

    I think £60 a month for food for one is fine - I usually bring mine in around £45 but I budget £60 anyway. It's only £15 a week!

    That includes packed lunches for work

    wow just realised it been 5 months since i started this thread, had a number of relapses but still in a better position than i was.

    To recap my monthly outgoings now are

    Outgoings per month
    Halifax loan 101 per month, reduced from 129 by cancelling PPI, 9 months to go
    Water rates were 34.75 now down to 25 (dont know why??)
    Electric and gas now on npower and 35 a month togther, waiting for champers from uswithc (thanks martin:grin:)
    Mint card min pay around 29, was paying 50 a month with 1300 to go, have paid 400 last month after putting some pressies on it (i know im ashamed) and another 400 to go on next month, will be down to 300
    rent 450

    Phone insurance 5.99 (cancelled)
    Council tax down from 84 to 75
    Dell computer 10
    Mobile phone 25
    Tv licence was 25.30 now £10.50
    Car insurance was 60.12 a month, after this years NCD have paid it in one go at 340 with 55 cashback. (Thats what went on CC as wel)
    BT phone bill 20 (prepaid broadband through E7 so need this line)
    Students loans 52.56 and 26.12 (down to about 1700 now)

    Food 45
    Petrol down to 20 sometimes car share with gf if based at same office
    Cinema 0 dvd rentals trials
    Eating out 0, still eat out at least once a week but do it as mystery shopping.

    That brings my outgoings to just over 1300.

    My incoming are still 1240 (pay 40 to pension funds now, 50% with work)
    but good news is my gf pays half of rent now so im 200 better off a month.

    With all this i reckon

    CC paid off in 3 months
    Then bank loan 2 months later
    Then student loans 5 months later
    Then overdraft 3 months later

    Debt free date in 12 months,

    Im feeling so much better about finances now, and me and gf looking at buying a house in two years, thanks for all the help guys, will try and keep this updated bit more frequently now.

    Oh yes, with regards to deposit on house have been match betting and casino bagging.

    Profit to date

    Matched = 800
    Casino = 300

    £1100 for playing games

    MSE has changed my life
