Hi Lynn
Oooh don`t you just love the surprise Chick?
For instance...I think these songs are both amazing...but maybe if you did`nt recognise them then they would`nt listen.

Hi Anegl,
Great title for a Thread, and as you say there's always at least a song or two that gets you through the rough times. This has always been a favourite of ours, and its certainly had some "airtime" in our house(s) over the last couple of years.
Rod Stewart is the vocalist, back in the days when he could really sing:

I mentioned my dad in one of my posts, on BR day he so sadly died 26 years ago on Oct 6 was buried on Oct 13.
I only know the sadness and pain that day he died, I was devasted he was my friend, not just my dad, from age 17 he was the one who took me out one night when I was gutted the LAD had not turned up, and said here have a cigarette, I was like,, he said come on lady I know you smoke.
Through the good and bad he was always there, and last week I knew he was there in the taxi.. please dont laugh, and the court.
Today he was laughing his head off he was a master carpenter, these morons in my kitchen could not even measure with a tape, I said LOOK let me do it, I am my dads daughter, my welsh dresser ladies he built by hand.
I had my OR call in the middle of all this and the song that has plagued me for over a week was singing in my brain. I adore Josh Groban so lucky to see this wonderful young man live, and my mum holds this song so dear to heart, I knew today the words meant so much to me as well and I got to be really good no tears till I finally found the You tube of it, I have on CD and like so many others of his I just fold to, but this time in my life this I dedicate to my dad whom I am not only sure was there with me but had he lived would have been in person.

Hi Rylynn,
What great choices...I`m glad that you feel your Dad is with you!! That Josh Groban song had me near to tears...what lovely lyrics...I can see why it means so much.
The last post I could not open the link so you may want to post again.
Also just had to say Rich...Rod Stewart did have great voice back then!
I am so enjoying hearing your choices...keep them coming!
