            Just to say I'm glad you're feeling empowered - that's half the journey. As other posters have said, I realised a few months ago that it's no good just counting the day-to-day/monthly expenses as you end up kidding yourself that you have plenty of money. Since about September I've started looking ahead to what expenses we have coming up each month and budgeting for that so it doesn't take me by surprise. It seems amazing I never used to do that especially with stuff like my MOT (and therefore repairs) being due in December at the same time as Christmas.0

            I hadn't thought of that, shoes isn't a problem (got carried away in the Sketchers outlet a while back!) but clothes I agree will build money into the budget for that!!!!0
