Tesco Refund Policy

I'm posting this because I'm soooo pleased with my latest "bargain"!! I went to Tesco's tonight to get some bits and pieces for Christmas presents as I've just had some expenses paid from my work. One of the things on my list was a digital photo frame for my father in law, which I knew Tesco had at around £35. I found them in the shop, and there were three shelves of them.

The top shelf had a small white sticker on the shelf with £49.97 and then there were three of the big orange and red special offer stickers with £39.97 scored out and "Now £35.97" in HUGE black bold text. So, I took one and after I paid for it thought my shopping bill was quite high considering the frame was only supposed to be £35.97.

Upon checking my receipt I realised I'd been charged £49.97 so I went to customer services, explained to the guy and took him back to the shelf to show him. I noticed straight away on the special offer tickets that the offer was supposed to expire yesterday but because the offer was still up on the shelf I would get a refund.

When we went to the customer services desk and he was refunding my card, he said that because it was Tesco's mistake I would get a "double the difference" refund - so I got £30 back on to my card, meaning my frame only cost £19.97!!!

Great boost to my Christmas shopping fund, plus I got the points for the full price frame, in the words of tescos themselves, every little helps!!

I've just got a 'double the difference' refund.
Bought 6 bottles of wine but was charged for 7 so got double back - only £5 bottles but...........every little helps.
