HELP !! 8k short on mortgage

We have arranged our mortgage through a FA.
We are due to exchange next week but my dad (thank god) just realised that the figures did not add up and we are 8k short.
So the FA has not done her sums correctly and we are 8k short of the amount needed to complete.
Will a mortgage company be ok about this ?

It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

I guess it'll depend on the deal and whether or not it is still available with the correct LTV.
All you can do is ask but, whilst your FA should have spotted tis error, so should you. I'd ask the FA to sort the mess out at no additional cost to you - no harm in asking.

Surely your solicitor has mentioned this shortfall to you ????"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

.........and your income allows you to borrow the extra £8k.
I'm sure the lender will be very happy to lend you an extra £8k, as long as it still fits their criteria.I am a Mortgage adviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. It is sorted - we are only borrowing 35% LTV and only half of what we *could* have had so an extra 8k was luckily no problem.
Although we do still have to wait for the new "formal offer".It's not paranoia if they really are after you.0
