Do you have a local college that has a hair and beauty department?
My local college have a beauty & Hairdressing salons run with trainee students. I often have a pampering day with them and lunch in their resturant run by the catering students. Great vaule for money too.

jimmy - what a wonderful gift. OH did similar for me at Christmas when our local hairdressers were doing a special offer on massage, facial, pedicure, manicure and 2 hair dos.............worth ringing around hairdressers to see if they're doing anything like that
Mind could be spread over a 6 month period so I gave myself a bit of a treat once a month. It was bliss and did me a power of good.
    Good luck:j

Oh, just to add, sometimes you find people who do home visits for this sort of thing.

Were you thinking more of a basket or gift box of beauty stuff like face masks, stuff like that so your Mum can pamper herself at home ?
If you are you could try Boots to see if they're doing any offers. I don;t know if they are myself but its worth a try,
    Good luck.

  • Hi

If your Mum wouldnt mind a little bit of travelling there is a really good day spa in Northampton called Whittlebury Hall (I think) which does reasonable packages for a day of pampering. My sister went with work last year and she said it was fantastic! I think it costs about £80 for use of all the different facilites such as heat and ice rooms etc, lunch, and two treatments which depend on which package you go for.
