Today I've seen & heard some of the most depressing assesments of the economy so far. The recession apparently is going to be deep and long and we won't see recovery into 2011 at the earliest:eek: Please can some bulls tell me this is just scaremongering:cool:

A recession is a very individual thing .... some people will do badly, but some will be completely unaffected, indeed could even prosper if they have the sort of job that benefits from a downturn (bailiff etc..)... so it's impossible to say how average Joe will be effected....
I do think however that the predicted cold Winter along with the unprecedented rises in energy costs could effect many more people than the usual old and frail..... lets hope these costs go down before the cold snap arrives.
sorry, I don't mean to sound like a depressing git

Well, that's what happens after Clown steals pensions and borrows massively even in the 'boom' years. Not a thought of fixing the roof while the sun was shining, he was off doing dodgy wheezes with PFI.
IMHO, the complicit BBC and other controlled media will be trickling out the true story for months yet.0
