bummer!!!! on that one,
does the 12 years mean the last 12 years or any years from your working life.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Do you mean the twelve years that you can pay to make up a shortfall?
TBH, if you've only ever paid married womens' stamp it probably isn't worth you paying as you will be able to claim 60% pension from your husbands NI (100% if you are widowed or divorced).

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
I have paid full stamp for the past 20 years, before that it was part time
jobs that i paid the MW stamp, and then not all of the time. I am told by DWP that i have earned over 60% in my own right so i will wait and see what the next few months bring. I did take years out where no contribution was made when the kids were little and if i did odd jobs for cash in hand.
thanks for all your replies. I think i will wait nearer the time and see if i can
buy back any of those years
By the way my state pension is due 5.10.2009make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
