Credit Card Agony!

I currently owe £6000 in credit cards

I know this isnt alot, but I need your advice please!

From the end of November, I am going back to my "higher paid job" I had last year - this was when my credit rating was in the green and I found it very easy to get credit.

Now, I am stuck! I have been in a low paid job, circumstances have changed and I have fell behind on all credit card payments!

Is there no, legal way, of clearing off any credit card debt? From the end of November when I pick up my first wage pack, everything will be fine as I will have enough money to cover whats in arrears and start paying everything back

Do you know of any companies that provide people with bad credit history, loans? I just want them paid off - I understand I will be paying interest again to a new company, but this is comfortable for me

Ive looked at a debt management plan - but there seems so many and I have read on the internet about companies charging fees - any ideas on which one to go to?

Great - the mail has arrived and I have 2 months phone bill of £200 to pay now!!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help

Thanks

There are free debt charities such as CCCS or Payplan that can help you set up a DMP. I would either contact one of these charities or write to the creditors yourself and explain that you are moving into a higher paid job and will soon be able to pay off the arrear but wish to make a repayment plan. Make sure you are making at least token payments to your creditors right now so they know you are not just ignoring the debts.

Try posting up a statement of affairs and we'll see if there are any savings you can make from your current expenditure too.

I cannot think of anywhere that would give a decent loan at a reasonable rate. There is the Credit Union, but you usually need to be a member for 2 or 3 months before you can take out a loan.
