Took me quite a while to consider even coming on here then only just found how to post
Both myself and my hubbie now totally reliant on benefits (Income Support & DLA) due to ill health we have no dependent children and only us 2 share our home which is privately rented the rent is paid by Income Support
we have very large debts that we are now struggling to meet the minimum payment on as our outgoings are much over our income
Husband owes £27,282 (6) credit cards and a loan the loan is paid off in February 2009 that will take £203 per month off the total he pays out which currently stands at £881
My debts are £19,423 I have (5) credit cards a loan included in this amount and a catalogue balance of £600 the loan is £315 per month my son contributes a £100 towards this my total debt payments per month are £629.15
We have no arrears of anything but we cannot maintain the payments like we have been doing our joint income per month is £1,580 our debts alone are £1,510 we need around £600 a month for household living so are around £530 short per month if some of the interest on the cards was significantly lower our situation wouldn`t be so bad
Any advice would be very much appreciated as my husband as had 2 strokes and doesn`t really understand our predicament

WELL DONE FOR POSTING!!
You need to post a SOA (Statement of Affairs). If all your rent and benefit is payed, what do you spend £600 a month on apart from food?
I will find the link in a minute. People will be able to help there probably.
It also sounds like you'd benefit from ringing the CCCS.
http://www.cccs.co.uk/contact/contact.aspx <- Their number is on this page. Theyre fantastic, and helped us no end. Free too, and come highly recommended on here.
First step is the SOA though.0 -
