i need to open bank account to pay dmp i owe to many companies and need to find one that i owe nothing to does anyone know if hsbc or alliance and leicester is affiliated with its hard not knowing whoes joined with who

A&L is a santander company, but whether that means it's affiliated with the likes of Abbey who are also Santander, i dunno?

Lots of people have Co-op accounts as a basic starting block for a clean slate.......

the payplan website has a list of bank accounts and who they will and won't accept. I'm also certain I've seen a list on this site somewhere of which banks are all connected, but it might be out of date anyway! Someone else may be able to give you more information on this.
