Nintendo Wii Console (and wii fit bundle)?

I have decided to get one of these for my husband for xmas but don't know much about them. I think he would like the Wii Fit too so may look at getting some kind of bundle deal.

Any ideas on where to start looking, any good deals out there at the moment? With so many retailers I don't know where to start or even what is a good price. Does the console come with certain standard games?

Maybe it's too early to find an xmas bargain and there will be better deals nearer xmas?

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

I suspect they will disappear from the shelves long before Christmas especially the Wii fit which is in permanent short supply. There is a site, Google for Nintendo Wii Consoles in stock locator, which gives up to date information.
I would have posted a link but for some reason the forum screws with the address.

That site is shocking! I assume your items arrived, but for the sake of £10 i'd go to Argos i think :o

Why is that site shocking? My items arrived 2 days later (tho would have been next day but there was a bad pile up on a major road up here). This meant that they were delivered on a Saturday at no extra cost to me.

I don't think the website looks at all professional, with the margins fooked, and icons floating around on screen the first time i looked hence my previous comment. I admit it's better now i have just looked, but for such a small saving personally i would be wary of stores i don't know.

check out wii-consoles.co.uk & !!!!!!!!!!!.co.uk/ those sites lists retailers that have wii consoles and wii fits in stock

If you are patient wait and pay the RRP for the console, I doubt you there are many discounted deals going around unless you find a voucher code somewhere

a wii console costs £179.99 and a wii fit £69.99, it lets you know which retailer has them in stock, I waited and waited and eventually bought my wii fit from argos, and and my wii console from john lewis. I wasnt that desparate to pay over the odds :)

be wary about bundles, they are generally overpriced,
  • Play.com is selling the will console, will sports and wii fit for £249.99 with free delivery. Here is the link :

    Hope this helps

Dont use gamestation to get a wii fit, they are trying to sell you a wii fit with a bundle for £125, they wont sell the console itself and all the items in the bundle have no connection with the wii fit, except the accessory kit, which isnt an authentic nintendo product either.

Same goes for argos, they have the wii fit with super smash bros brawl, a fighting game with no connection to the wii fit.

If your after a wii console and wii fit and can save with a bundle thats great, but dont be forced into buying £40-£60 of unwanted "extras" when your buying the wii fit, dont be extorted by the retailers this xmas.

Just checked. Game (www.game.co.uk) are selling them for £70, and dont force you to take a bundle.

Thanks Slapps. Based on this recommendation ordered Sunday for £239.99 & delivered on Tuesday. Also agree with liney's comments about the website but it worked for me.
