    I've never been keen on smoking either, but I found it interesting that one of my classmates who was also a non-smoker turned up with a pack of smokes one day.

    It does raise another issue -- would you be prepared to invest in a company such as BAT or Imperial Tobacco? I can't say I'd be overly averse to it; I don't agree with their means of making money, but ultimately it's just an investment vehicle and someone else will put the money in anyway, you're just driving the price up by a minuscule amount by buying.

    It's also well known that tobacco companies are resilient in the face of downturns, so it's an apt time to have the debate in your mind!
