Short term mortgage

House (only asset) left to 3 daughters. 1 daughter made offer to others to “buy their shares in house” and was accepted.
Solicitor dragged feet and although had the signed paperwork from the 2 daughters, did not pass correct form on to daughter purchasing shares until after the bottom had dropped out of the financial market. Purchaser had intended to cash in her ISA’s etc to fund the buy-out.
So, now in a limbo situation. Parties have agreed to wait for a couple of months and purchaser is hoping that market will improve enough to warrant cashing in ISA’s & shares. (Yes I know this is unlikely to happen for some while and a lot longer than one of the parties is willing to wait)
Any ideas for getting a short term mortgage – say seven years – in the current climate. Ideally one that could be paid off in chunks as the investments get to a cashable level.
Sum required in total is 90K and we are looking to borrow 50K – given that we are able to put down c40K.
Another option could be daughters daughter being gifted the share and taking out a mortgage with us paying. However this may be against the tax laws??
