  • Hiya noodle soup?

With chicken stock cube for chicken, beef for beef you get it.......

basic recipe is stock cube - half packet of sqished up noodles, crunch them up in the packet - have them plain like this or add meat/veggies that you have to make a nice filling clear stock soup.

Or Tom - Yum - again similar to above but add coconut milk, chicken, fish or meat in chunks and some thai curry powder/paste or just some chilli's its delicous -its half stew, half soup.

My grannie use to put them in the bologense sauce instead of using pasta!

Yummm, the soup sounds lovely, the bottom one sounds like lots of prep lol. Thanks x
  • A variation for any kind of noodles is to toss in some oil and soy sauce and then fry them a little longer in a pan (as opposed to a wok) until golden brown and crisp, before flipping and repeating on the other side. You end up with a crispy noodle rosti/pancake.

Cook as per instructions, drain and stir in a knob of butter. Serve with freshly ground black pepper and grated cheese.

Or cook and add to stir fry veg, cooked chicken and soy sauce.

  • STIR FRIED NOODLES

    Per Person

    INGREDIENTS

    1 portion of boiled noodles
    1 tablespoon of sunflower oil
½ a tablespoon of light soy sauce*

    METHOD

Allow the noodles to cool before stir-frying.

Put the oil into a frying pan or wok on a medium heat. Add the noodles. Fry for about 3 minutes. Stir frequently to stop them sticking. Add the soy sauce. Mix thoroughly.

    * Light soy sauce is mainly used for seasoning. Dark soy sauce is mainly used for cooking, as its flavour develops with heating.
