need to buy a fax machine for home...are you happy with yours?

hi all

i need to replace my mum's fax machine

bought the same one as me about 2 years ago, and mine works fine (ok, sometimes the paper gets stuck or it needs to be reset by re-setting the time)

but the fiddly-ness (is that a word?) is driving her nuts

so i call upon help.........as it aint something i often by......nor subscribe to which etc

anyway, tale over.......i need to get a fax machine for home use (so light use)
but it has be:
easy to use!
easy to re-set, prefably never
never gets paper jams!!
smallish, to fit home desk
doesnt need a new ribbon every 2 pages, maybe even laser?

new or old models, not fussed, just ones that are tried and tested

bought a canon L800 through similar recommendation from friend and (touch wood) it has never failed, great piece of equipment, more high-end office use though

any suggestions would be much appeciated
