Student Nurse Bursary with a full time worker

I work full time as a plumbing apprentice and my partner is a full time student nurse. We are looking to buy a property and have a decent size deposit but still require a small mortgage (around £40k) to buy a property. What i to know if anybody out there can spread some light on the subject, are their any mortgage lenders out there that would be willing to give us a joint mortgage jointly?

Comments

  • I remortgaged when i was a student nurse in year one (on a bursary) so cant see why not. How much longer has your wife got til she qualifies as a nurse?
I then moved house and doubled mortgage just as i finished my course and had a job offer, so hadnt actually been paid yet. Of course this was all before the current financial doom and gloom. We had a large amount of equity.
