mortage deeds

Options
Hi Guys,

Hope you can help.

My girlfriend is leaving me and we have a house in joint ownership.

She is willing to leave her name on the mortgage so i need not go through lots of hassle. However I wish to have her name removed from the deeds (which she is fine with)

Can I do this myself or do we need a solicitor and if so do we have to inform our mortgage lender?

Appreciate any help :-)

The deeds and the mortgage need to be in the same names.

If you could support the mortgage on your own income, you could take her off both. You would need to apply to the lender, and use a solicitor though.

If you can't, you will have to leave both joint.
