Changing payment date and exit fees

We are currently with SPML/Capstone, on a 3 year fixed rate, coming to an end on 30th November 2008.
We already have a really good offer from the Halifax, and have a completion date of 3rd December.
SPML sent me a letter last week to say that as from 1st December, our payment would be going up by £130 as the fixed rate is ending.
They also sent another letter with a list of fees and charges. These included a "Deeds release fee" of £65 and also a "final repayment charge" of £190. These also would come into effect on 1st December.
I have 2 questions:
1 - How much would the final repayment figure be affeted if we change the payment date from 1st of the month, to, say 8th. We would (hopefully) have completed by then.
2 - If we had to pay the £65 and the £190, could we claim it back, even though we will no longer have a mortgage with them.
Any other advice would also be really helpful.
Thanks L x

Roughly, divide your monthly payment by 30 and that is your rough daily amount.2 - If we had to pay the £65 and the £190, could we claim it back, even though we will no longer have a mortgage with them.
They are valid fees and cannot be claimed back.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
