Is it just me or does anyone else think it strange that the original poster of this thread has not responded or acknowledged any of the replies on here?
Becs0 -

Just a quick message to anyone who is unsure of the validity or trustworthyness (is that a word?!) of Postpals.
I have sent cards and small gifts occasionally (not as often as I hoped!) to children through Postpals and I check their website regularly. It is always very appreciated.
They are definitely all above board and yes, the PO address is the one to send them to. I would encourage anyone thinking of doing this as they are a very worthwhile cause :T
Hope this help!0 -
I have signed up to be a reindeer and send cards to 1 child and also as an elf to send presents to two children. It seems a really worthwhile causeYearly Grocery Budget - £100.77/ £3500. January Treats Budget - £11.80 / £100.0

Thank you to Vikki White (great name
) for the reindeer food that turned up safley.
MrsTime- snowman soup, cupcake flannels or anything would be really appricated. if people would like to send some then they can pick the child they would like it to go to and send it direct to them (well to their forwarding address), each child has theirs on their own page. Post Pals is in the process of applying for charity status, its been running for 5 years now but to register as a charity you have to have an annual income over over £5k which has been hard and each year we havent made it (even some of the kids have donated their pocket money for PP to buy stamps in the past!) but a couple of larger donations this year means we can apply. Its been so frustrating as you need to fundraise to be able to become a charity and fundraising is hard because your not etc. It would be amazing if we were nominated for MSE charity next year, both as we would be able to do so much with the money and also because of all the people that would hear of PP and send a card, letter, email or small gift etc. As we had a slightly larger donation we were able to buy this bouncy castle for a couple of children (this boy is waiting for a transplant and spends nearly all his time in hospital, the pic was taken on a rare short spell at home) you can see it here, i found them on the Grabbit board for £7.50 but we were only able to get a couple. things like that in the future could benefit so many children if we had the funds etc. Anyway I will stop babbling!
Becs- I have severe ME so sometimes trying to keep up with day to day Post Pal stuff gets too much and I dont have the energy to get everything done etc so thats why.
Hamish- thanks for signing up to be an elf and a reindeer, I hope you enjoy it
Dooglechick- thanks for sending post in the past and your nice words about Post Pals
And a big thanks to everyone who has offered to send reindeer food, as someone has already posted please send it to the POBOX which is
Post Pals
PO Box 278,
Leatherhead,
Surrey,
KT23 4WN
If its possible please could it arrive by mid november.
Thank you all!

Hamish - hi, I've been on the website and after reading up on being an Elf and a Reindeer on the newsletter, I've signed up to do this too. Thanks for mentioning it.
They do need loads more volunteers to do this and was wondering if anyone else could sign up to help?"A" is for Opple if yowm spaking loike a yamyam!0
