First mortgage payment...?

My partner and I are in the middle of buying a house and have chosen to pay our mortgage on the 15th of each month. Our date of entry is 21st November and we wondered when our first mortgage payment would be? Will it be 15th of December? or sometime in November? We are lending from RBS if this helps!

HSBC held off when the dates did not correspond correctly at the start of my mortgage and charged me extra for the time lapse on the next official payment date. Now it's back to the agreed level. Probably the same for you at RBS.

I'm with RBS. I completed my house purchase on 23rd May this year and chose the mortgage payment to go on the 7th of the month. It went on the 7th June. The first payment was not any higher than any since, but presumably more interest has been added somewhere on the overall balance because of the slight differences in dates.
