Tesco Cava brut Sparkling Wine

Last week bought a couple of bottles of Tesco Cava brut. It cost £3.88 a bottle.

We liked it, so went back this week to buy more......and now it's only £2.78 a bottle.

Not listed as a special offer, but good value especially if you buy six or more as they give a further 5% discount. As far as I know this is only available in-store.

They are price matching ASDA who charge the same. Also Tesco do 6 bottle case for £15 (ASDA £14.87) Also ASDA web site says they are doing 4 bottles for £10. If this is included in a purchase of 6 bottles or more it may qualify for a further 10% off. I guess it all depends on your taste though.

Supposedly six for £15, but in the Abingdon store yesterday they made me put them through individually (not in boxes of 6) and so charged slightly more.
We ordered some for home delivery last Saturday and they never arrived - Tesco CS said there were none in the country! Hard to believe when you saw how many they had in stock last night.
Still, 24 bottles should see me through to Xmas, then I can start drinking the half-price champagne I bought from Tescos a few weeks ago!

p.s. the 48 bottles of Carlsberg Export for £20 is also a great offer - that's gone away for Xmas too!

Managed to bag a box of the 6 bottles for £15 a couple of weeks ago after seeing ppl rave about it on here!

So, hoping it's drinkable.....keeping an eye out for some cheapo Cassis to mix it with.

Maybe I should open a bottle to test...hmmmmm, where's that corkscrew now....?? ;D

Bought some of the Tesco Cava last week.
The case deal of 6 for £15 is in a cardboard box and on the outside it specifically says that it should be scanned as a single item using the case barcode.

Also had some of tha ASDA Cava.

Last week it was cheaper to buy them as a case deal.
£14.87 for a box of 6. (~ £2.48 each)
Single bottles WERE £3.78 or 3 for £10
OK there was an additional 10% off for 6 bottles but that still made it 6 for £18 (£3 each)

NOW it is cheaper to buy them as SINGLE BOTTLES (if you buy 8 or 12 or 16 etc...)

You get 4 for £10
But providing you buy 6 (OR MORE) you get 10% off
So you need to buy in multiples of 4 and more than 6.

So 8 cost £20
but more than 6 so 10% off = £18

8 for £18 = £2.25 each !!!!!!!!

Hand in a fistful of free discount vouchers for a least another additional 10% off and they become £2.03 OR LESS !!!!!!!

The boxes of 6 for £15 ran out a while ago biglugs. I searched the website and local stores at the time but couldn't get any.

As far as I can see this is the next best thing as it works out at £15.85 for six bottles, if you take into account the 5% discount for buying six bottles.

Anyway, I'm a happy bunny.......wine that I like, much cheaper than I normally pay for it!
