I am wondering if anyone could give me some advice on remortgaging please?
When do you start the process, 1 month before, 2 months, etc?

You would always advise the solicitor of the date your current deal expires, so that they will make sure it starts as near as possible after this dateI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. ok cool, thank you!
I will probably start the process 12-16 weeks before, just to be safe!0 -

Yes with the exception of weekends and bank holidays.
My deal ends on a Friday, so I can't complete until the Monday, so I'll have to pay SVR for 3 days.0 -

I think it must depend on your lender as I am completing on 1 January 2009 and would have to wait til the 5th if weekends and bank holidays weren't included.0
