when to complete

Options
was wanting to complete on our mortgage at the end of october but solicitor hasnt got everything needed in time so it isnt going to happen now.
solicitor now is recommending we complete at the end of november.
can i ask him to complete at any day in november?
i realise i will pay all of novembers interest by doing this but want it to go through as soon as poss.
is it unheard of to complete at other times of the month?

Why would you want it to start earlier - you'll be paying interest twice for that period, surely?

It really depends on how mortgage interest is calculated on both mortgages.

A lot of mortgages now do daily interest so if you switch say on 15th the
mortgage A will charge from 1-15 and mortgage B from 15-31.

Are you saying you have to pay for a whole month because you know that or are you just assuming?

To know for sure, you'd need to know how both mortgages work.
