I've just signed for a DMP through gregory pennington (i know big mistake by reading reviews on here). I only signed this the end of last week I've made my first payment to them of £180 for this month but I am completely regretting it already. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can transfer this to eith payplan or cccs or someone more trust worthy. I thought I was doing the right thing as it was Halifax who ut me in touch with them. Please help, Thanks x

Hi
Cancel your DMP with gregory pennington straight away they are making money out of you being in debt. The money you are paying them could be spet paying one fo your creditors. Go to the ccc's they do not charge a fee.0 -
Hi laswt,
I'm not an expert but I think that should be possible - do you have a copy of the agreement you signed with GP? If so, check the terms and conditions for cancellation terms.
You could try calling one of the debt charities (details at the top of this board), or there is a new thread for CCCS questions just started (some of the CCCS counsellors post on these boards) - you could try posting here:

Contact CCCS_Sarah - I think you get a cooling off period so I think you should be able to cancel but I'm no expert! Best of luck...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
