hi there guys i am wondering if anyone can help me with a company called capquest. i have searched the the site and followed most of the recommendations. but im at a lose as what to do next.
around the start of june i started to get phone calls every day from a company called telogram.telling me i had a telegram waiting for me. i thought this was a scam and never answered any of their questions, a few days later my neighbor said the had a phone call from telogram asking if i lived there, and then my parents where over at my house while i was on holiday and telogram called,my mother answered the phone and told them i did indeed live there.i googled telogram and came up with this forum and how they are also capquest.
when i got back from holiday i had a letter waiting for me from capquest.telling me they had bought a debt from barclays partners finance.so i started to follow the advice on this site.
1. i sent away a letter telling them i didn't acknowledge the debt and received a reply on the 15 aug with a copy of a letter from barclays partner finance stating that the debt had been sold to capquest.
2. so i then send a letter on the 16th aug asking for
A.) a copy of the credit aggreement that i had signed,
B.) a stament of the account
c.) a deed of assignment
i then get another letter from capquest explaining that the account is on hold for 28 days untill they gather the information.
well today i get a letter from capquest with a statment of the account but no signed copy of the credit agreement. and also telling me that if i didnt pay 389.75 pounds that immediatly that it would be passed to their collections dept and further action would be taken.
are capquest chancing there arm to get me to pay up, it seems to me like they dont have a copy of the credit agreement or they would have sent it allong with the stament of the account.
should i send them a letter back telling them they havent sent me a copy of the credit agreement or should i ignore their letters until they do.
im starting to get worried over all this

Best to write back , keep all letters ,and insist that they send a true copy of a CCA . For such a small amount the will not take it to court so do not worry on that score .0
