I'm doing a ladies night tonight, this is what I'm taking:

Candle surveys (will put in a draw for a small gift), June/July specials, own poster, opportunity poster, diary with stars on dates I want to book, 'You Can Have It All' leaflet, a few hostess packs, small selection of products, enthusiasm!

Have I left anything obvious out?
    gun and a smile

    (joking)

well done you sound pretty organised - good luck .

the candle surveys are the best as they get you talking to people - one quick thing on that not everyone is up for a party so I always say if you want to be included in monthly email where I send you the special offers then pls add your email address - I then add them to distribution list and send each month the flyer downloaded from internet.

also make sure you take along the mosaic hurricane as that will draw people to your table - and if you can use the aroma melts warmer and light it as them smell will also draw people.

also just came to me - take your stackers along so people can smell the scents!
    I get paid to party!:rotfl:

I'm gonna call it a day. Two things happened today. The Body Shop woman I spoke about in the past invited me to a Body Shop sale but refuses to hold a party for me and the person who booked a July party has cancelled. I don't have the time to dedicate to it so I'm going to cut my losses and enjoy my kit by myself.

  • Hi Just me

sorry you're going to leave - don't worry about not having had loads of parties - i don't do alot of parties (would klike to do more) but this is a wee extra for me so I get my candles etc - i did one party for my leader which she couldn't do and the sales were only £120 after she got her commission and i took off the gifts i gave out i was left with about £8 so I certainly wouldn't keep ginving up my evenings for this sort of money!! So what i'm saying if it doesn't pick up for me after the summer then i'll call it a day - but if its good in the run up to xmas then i'll keep things ticking over so i can do the end of year sales!

Enjoy all your products and maybe get a discounted order in b4 you leave which you can sell off over the next few months and make some money on!!

Hard to tell really, gave quite a few leaflets out and 4 people did the candle survey. It was in the wrong area really, think I need to break into Yummy Mummy and Ladies Wot Lunch territory!

This is the worst time for any party plan as summer time everyone is thinking about summer holidays.

If you are new it can be even more harder as you have not yet built up a contact base.

For the girls who have been at it for a few years they seem to get by as they have loads of contacts.

This is all about stickability - stick it out until xmas and Im sure you will see such a difference - in fact you will be run off your feet and looking for a quiet time (lol)

Fairs and fetes etc are the best way to get contacts to help build you up for the autumn/winter.

Good luck with your choices and I hope it works for you all.

my personal favourite which most people love is strawberry rhubarb or sunkissed cotton is nice n fresh

At conference they have a shop - you will get an order form before hand which you can pre-order and it will all be sent directly to your home so you don't need to carry (as you will have lots of freebies alread) - prices are fab - some of the candles are no longer but doesn't matter for using to hand out - usually get dozen tealights for £2.

Also at conference they have other items for sale which might not been on the order form at 1st come 1st served basis - which you can see and smell and they are also fab prices - I buy plenty which sees me through xmas and because you getting them so cheaply you can quite easily give them away!

Ooo I need some new wax, when do we get these order forms, is it sad that IM REALLY REALLY EXCITED to get it!

Has anyone been 'happy-tapping' yet? I'm going to give it a go, but I was wondering about printing leaflets and things - I need to do my own, not sure how many to print?
I was wondering about local press advertising as well?
