Hi all, Quick update on my situation. Phoned the local council this morning and have an appointment next week with the housing dept to find out more . Some good news and bad news on that also , have found a private landlord who is willing to rent me his property , 2 bed semi but its £550.00 p/m and according to the council im entitled to £92.00 p/wk leaving me a shortfall of £35.00p/wk out of my £90.00p/wk benefit . Im chuffed to bits that ive found someone to rent a 'benefits' claimant a property but slightly gutted that the rent is so high but at my appt next week il see if anything can be done . Now then another question .
If i get an early discharge ( fingers crossed ) does the IPA situation end or does that end after the full 12 months ? ie if i was able to return to work after ED would the OR still be able to impose an IPA on me or not ? Many thanks in advance . x

The reason that the benefit does not cover your full rent is the house is bigger than you need. As you are single you only need one bedroom. If you rented a one bedroom house then you would most probably get full benfit, unless it was an extortinate rent.
When you are discharged, either ED or AD you are no longer obliged to keep your OR abreast of any changes in your income.Namaste DeeDee x0 -
An IPA can only be put in place while you are undischarged.
If you get to the point that you are discharged without an IPA, then that is it. Even if you income increases afterwards an IPA cannot be put in place.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
