Cannons are giving away November for free (and waiving the admin fee), if you sign up with them in October. They charge for 3 months, and you can cancel before the next 3 months, I believe. Does anyone know what the standard peak membership (for one club) price is especially for the City one?
LA Fitness are giving 6 months for half price too.

I have recently left Fitness First and thinking of joining LA Fitness. At the moment you can join up for no signing in fee get a month free for £42.50 and use all the gyms in London. Sound too good to be true thats because i have good negating skills. With the credit crunch at the moment they are having more and more people cancelling every day and are in competion at the moment with all the other gyms to get new customers. In reason they will give you what ever you want. Just try and push your luck with them. I went to the leadenhall gym in London. Also if someone refers you you get 20% off your gym membership a month for 6 months.0

Ooh, thanks. So you went to a Fitness First in Leadenhall or you're planning on going to an LA Fitness in Leadenhall? Leadenhall is the closest one to me - what did you think about the facilities, and cleanliness? May I ask why you left Fitness First?0

I was joined up to the Romford Fitness First but wasn't using it because i was too tired after work and not at the weekend cause i was normall out shopping or with a hangover. I spoke to fitness first and they said to me that i could upgrade my membership from £36 a month to £47 a month and i would have access to all of the London Gyms. That price wasn't too bad but i'm not overly keen on Fitness First and the gym at liverpool street isn't that big and the classes at lunch are not suitable for me and as i don't finish work till 6 they are too early for me then. So anyway some collegues at work said to me try LA Fitness and the closest one to me is Leadenhall. I spoke to a guy called Alan their really helpful showed me around the place. Everything looked very nice and clean a bit squashed in not as much room as you would have in a gym that is not in London but if you only go at lunch and have 45 minutes its good. The swimming pool has three lanes not overly big but okay. With a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. I didn't take a very detailed look at the changing rooms as it was lunch a didn't want the girls to think i just ramdomly stariting at them but from what i did see it looked fine. They told me they have a cleaner constantly in the changing rooms through peak times so that its always clean. I would of thought that a london gym wouldn't be unclean anyway especially in the city as we pay a lot of money for our gyms and they know we wouldn't want second rate cleaness. Let me know if you have any more questions?0
